  Dr Lavigne is the best Obgyn I've ever had. He saved my life!!! I was going to Seasons and that hippie looking Dr kept saying there was nothing wrong with me. And luckily they stopped accepting my insurance. I called Dr Lavigne's office they saw me, immediately did surgery, and was told I wouldn't have lived to see the new year has I not had the surgery when I did. That was October....

  The staff is friendly however in 8 months i've seen 6 different doctors and a nurse practioner at the same obgyn office. Everytime you arrive for your appointment you see a different doctor, its a 5 minute appointment but a 2 hour wait to see the doctor. They dont give very good updates or information about what to expect. For example: They didnt even mention what weeks i needed to get the whooping cough vaccine, or that we needed it at all, They basically check the baby's heart beat, take your insurance money and send you on your way. Fortunately we went to the hospital for pre-admission and the intake nurse asked if we had gotten the vaccine and informed us that the mother needs to get the vaccine between 28-36 weeks so it gets into baby's system as well. They need to assign patients to doctors so they will be able to keep up with what you've been told about or what tests have been done IE: At my last appointment the doctor i saw this time wasnt even aware that i was there to have a strep b swab done, until i asked about it and he seemed annoyed that i even mentioned it. In conclusion, we will not be returning to abingdon obgyn, and i would personally recommend you don't either.
